Why choose a paddle boarding holiday?
Whether it's Croatia, Greece, or Sardinia, the great thing about a paddle boarding holiday in Europe at one of our Beach Club locations is that the weather is glorious and the conditions are ideal for a SUP or paddle boarding trip.
It's an inclusive activity and the boards are available from the water sports beach – there's no need to book. Aside from being brilliant fun, stand up paddle boarding is a great form of exercise.
Unsurprisingly, paddle boarding requires calm waters. Fortunately, our Beach Clubs are located on beaches with calm, clear, warm water and, in some places, within protected bays, the perfect place to get a taste of paddle boarding.
Where can you go paddle boarding?
You can SUP or go paddle boarding at all our Beach Clubs.

Paddle boarding tips
New to paddle boarding? Here are a few helpful tips ahead of your SUP holiday.
Make sure you're using your paddle correctly: With each SUP stroke, try to maintain a trailing position and keep the blade vertical. You should put more power into the middle of the stroke, as this will help to propel you forward.
Maintain good posture: Stand tall and keep your core engaged, as this is where your strength will come from as opposed to your arms. If your posture becomes lax and you leave your arms to do all the work, this will tire you out far more quickly.
Keep your head up: While it might be tempting to look down at the water out of fear of falling in, you should try to look at the horizon instead. This will also help you to maintain your posture and allow you to paddle better.
Paddle boarding for more than one
Most paddle boards can easily fit 2 people, which is good news for anyone wanting to take to the water as a couple, with friends or with little ones. Just be sure to evenly distribute your weight on the board. With a spot of teamwork, you can enjoy doubling up during your paddle boarding or SUP holiday
Sit the little ones on the front of the board, grab a paddle and off you go. The older ones will no doubt relish a little friendly competition, so why not get the family together on the water and see who's the fastest on their board?
Paddle boarding is a popular activity in our kids' clubs and children aged 14 and above can join in with the adult sessions.
