The Hotel Del Clos is a fantastic example of what a ski hotel should be, which is exactly why we chose it for our Neilson Mountain Collection. The wooden clad and carved walls invite you in and warm you up straight away. There's a tremendous feeling of space as the wide corridors guide you to the many chill-out areas.

The bar and lounge area offer plenty of options to relax and refuel. They also become a real focal point during après-ski - as does the huge sun-terrace. It's definitely worth grabbing your drink and a seat to watch the sunset turn the slopes of El Tarter a delicious orange.

Families will love the kids' clubs which offer childcare for children from 4 months right up to pre-teen 12 year olds. Our experienced nannies make sure they're well looked after with plenty to keep them happy and stimulated.

If you were trying to ride every slope of the 210km area during the day, you may need to take advantage of the in-house massage therapist. They offer a great range of sports treatments and beauty therapies too, so why not treat yourself to a little 'me-time'?

It's only 350m to the lifts, and you have a choice of where to leave your skis or boards at night. There's plenty of space at the hotel in the heated kit storage room (including boot warmers for a toasty start to your day), or there are storage lockers in Nordic Ski Hire (by the lifts) available for a weekly charge.

From the hotel to...

About the resort...

El Tarter is part of the massive 210km Grandvalira ski area. The snow conditions are good throughout the season (obviously warmer in spring) but you'll often see amazing snow in Andorra when the rest of Europe is struggling.

It's also home to one of the best ski schools in Europe. They'll transform nervous beginners into confident improvers in no time. The speedy and advanced can also choose from a range of classes and clinics to push their skills to the limit.

El Tarter is a laid-back mountain town. Après is low-key with a few bars to choose from. L'Aberset bar straight off the slopes is pretty lively until about 8pm, or head to the hotel's own bar to carry on the party feel.

Not only is El Tarter a good choice for all levels of skier and snowboarder, the resort lends itself to those looking to enjoy a more chilled-out week.

Families and kids

Andorra is a brilliant option for families with free child lift passes for under 12s with each adult lift pass. Plus your children will be well catered for, with our childcare and crèches taking care of kids from 4 months to 12 years old. For skiing kids, we offer a ski school drop-off and pick-up service, ensuring they're happy and settled. There's also evening care available on 3 evenings a week.

The hotel facilities include a games and TV room for all ages to spend some time with their newfound friends. When conditions are right, there's a snow garden for younger guests to get creative and build up an appetite before high-tea at 5pm.

Our chefs cook up dedicated kids' menus, with all the firm favourites to make sure they're well fed. You can also borrow our snow buggies and sledges for when you want to head out and explore the resort as a family.

For our youngest guests, we have a 24 hour baby room, plus UK standard cots and highchairs - just let us know at the time of booking if you'd like a cot in your room.

We can even provide a private nanny service if you would prefer to have individual care for your little ones. Simply call us to discuss your needs.
