Slovenia is home to some beautiful forests, mountains and lakes, of which Lake Bled has to be the most impressive. In the middle of the lake, there’s a castle perched on top of a small island. Off the water, Lake Bled hosts a shoreside annual film festival in June. We can’t imagine a better setting for an open-air cinema - or a better way to round off the day on the lake’s crystal-clear waters.
