The family holiday is fast approaching and you’re counting down to spending lots of lovely quality time with the kids but you may be asking yourself whether to take advantage of the children’s clubs available on a Neilson beachclub holiday. It’s pretty normal to feel apprehensive when it comes to leaving your child(ren), in a holiday club. And equally normal to worry they won’t have a good time.
Eight reasons why real kids love holiday clubs
Neilson have spent decades fine tuning the art of kids’ clubs and we reckon we have them well and truly perfected. The formula.. flexibility (so your children can drop in as little or often as they, or you, like) PLUS fun (action packed days with a little chilled time thrown in for good measure) PLUS freedom (they get to hang out with new friends and you get time to do your thing too) EQUALS Happy children! Which of course in turn makes for happy parents!
However, don’t just take our word for it. We’ve spent some time chatting to some of the thousands of children who’ve enjoyed Neilson kids’ clubs and here’s what they have to say…
Seth Lloyd | Aged four | Sea Urchins club
“I thought I wouldn’t like club but I made new friends and it was brilliant. In my club, the nannies pulled us along the swimming pool on a surfboard and we learnt how to do good dive bombs. We also got to paint the nannies, went on pirate adventures on the beach and went sailing in the sea.”
Sienna Cheverton | Aged six | Sea Badgers club
“I went to Lemnos on holiday and I was in Badgers. Mostly I enjoyed swimming in the pool with my new friends that I made in club and we played lots of fun games. My favourite activity was tennis, even though I couldn’t hit it. I had lots of fun trying! We also got to bake cookies in Sea Badgers Club but I didn’t share these with my mummy.”
Gabriel Townsend | Aged six | Sea Badgers club
“I loved doing all the different activities, making new friends, marching and shouting Badger, Badger, Badger, the fun nannies and movie nights. My best activity in Messini was stand up paddle boarding because I got to do this in club with my friends and also with my Mum and Dad.”
Emily Simonsen | Aged seven | Surfbusters club
“I was a Surfie B when I went to Lemnos and my nannies were the best! I got to stay up late some nights because they have movie nights but before the movie, we played games on the tennis courts and in the gardens. Swimming was my favourite activity but Zumba was also fun. And I got to have lunch with my club friends instead of Mummy & Daddy!”
Lily Davies | Aged eight | Sharksters club
“Hello, my name is Lily and I am 8 years old. I’ve been on lots of holidays with the company called Neilson. I’ve been to Messini, Vounaki, Sivota x 2 and I am going to Sardinia! What I enjoy about going to kids club is that the nannies are always kind and fun, you get to do cool activities, you get to play with your friends and sometimes they put Sharksters and Surfbusters together and do beach Olympics”
Tomas Stokes | Aged 10 | Lots of different clubs
“I’m nearly 11 now but my first ever beachclub holiday was when I was four months old, so lots of different clubs but the last two years I’ve been in Hot Shots. I really enjoy doing all the different games in club like volleyball, tennis, table tennis and swimming but I’ve also now got my RYA qualifications in sailing and windsurfing. My favourite activity is wakeboarding and I can now do a 180 and 360 jumps. I did try to do a back flip but made a big splash instead. On some evenings, we get to hang out with the Hot Shots instructor to watch movies whilst Mum and Dad are at the bar!”
Cameron Older | Aged 11 | Surf Squad
“We went to Vounaki beachclub and I was really excited because I was old enough to join Surf Squad. They get to do so much cool stuff. We went to the local village to get ice creams on kayaks and the beachies took us out on catamaran joyrides. My favourite activity is water skiing though. I love it but my Dad is still trying to stand up! I got to learn when I was seven and I now want to try wakeboarding too.”
Dan Tyler | Aged 16 | TAG
“On the past couple of Neilson holidays, I’ve joined TAG which is for 15, 16 and 17 year olds. It’s great because it’s a relaxed way to meet people your own sort of age and you can then hang out on holiday together. The TAG reps organise some activities but you also get to just relax by the pool or on the beach. We did go out on a boat trip all together and also went into town for dinner. No parents allowed!”
