To ski or snowboard?
The best way to work out what's better for you is to ask yourself - what do I want to do? That's really all it comes down to.
Some things will help. If you used to skateboard, you'll probably take to snowboarding much quicker. Or if you used to rollerskate or ice skate, skiing is probably more your thing. Whichever you choose, you're destined to have some serious fun along the way.
What to expect
Trying something for the first time can be a bit scary, but it's also massively fun. Just remember that you're surrounded by people who all share a common interest - a passion for skiing and snowboarding.
We can talk you through your first week as a skier or snowboarder so you'll know what to expect whilst on holiday.
And don't worry, we're with you all the way, so get in touch.
What to take
Like all holidays, you need to make sure you've got what you need. A ski or snowboard holiday is no different - you just may not know what you need yet.
To help out, we've put together some what to pack tips to ensure you're fully prepared for your arrival in the snow. Tips like what to bring/not to bring, some of the lingo and what things you need to book in before you go.
Follow these tips and you'll look like a pro on the snow in no time!
Where to learn
The choice of resorts is pretty big, but don't worry - we'll help you choose the perfect place to learn to ski.
Some resorts aren't actually that suitable for beginners. You need to be looking out for lots of green and blue lines on the ski map (those are the easiest slopes), plus really good ski and snowboard coaching schools.
Ski pack bundles for beginners
There's a few things you'll need to book before you go. A lift pass (gets you up the mountain), skis or snowboard and boots (tricky without these) and tuition (essential).
We have handy bundles which you can easily add to your booking. The beauty of these bundles is that they save you money as well as time at check out. The prices you see on the site aren't available in resort, so we recommend you book them up before you go.
We're here, if you need us
Everyone is different. We've been looking after skiers and snowboarders for over 40 years now, and have given advice and support to them all. Some just wanted tips, others needed their hands held all the way. That's what we're here for.
From the first call or email to the final (teary) goodbye on the coach back to the airport, we're here for any questions you may have. You can get hold of us by calling 0333 014 3351.
And remember, there's no such thing as a stupid question.
