With a backdrop of snowy trees and towering mountains, the hotel sits right opposite the slopes in the small hamlet of La Daille. The funicular and new La Daille gondola are just across the road from the hotel for high-speed access into the heart of the world-class Val d’Isère-Tignes ski area.

There's a fantastic wellness area with an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, hot tub, steam room and treatment rooms with luxurious TEMPLE SPA products – essential if you’re making the most of the 300km ski area.

Les Menuires is all about the pistes. It's a great base from which to explore the full reaches of the largest linked ski area in the world, but without all the fuss (and prices) of the other Three Valleys resorts.Les Menuires offers the most skiing of all the Three Valleys resorts with 160km of pistes.

The Hotel Del Clos is a fantastic example of what a ski hotel should be, that's why we chose it for our Neilson Mountain Collection. The wooden clad and carved walls invite you in and warm you up straight away. There's a tremendous feeling of space as the wide corridors guide you to the many chill-out areas.

The bar and lounge area offers plenty of options to relax and refuel. They also become a real focal point during après-ski, as does the huge sun terrace. It's definitely worth grabbing your drink and a seat to watch the sunset turn the slopes of El Tarter a delicious orange. Families will love the kids' clubs which offer childcare for little ones from four months right up to pre-teen 12-year-olds. Our experienced nannies make sure they're well looked after with plenty to keep them happy and stimulated.

It's only 350m to the lifts and if you were trying to ride every slope of the 210km area during the day, you may need to take advantage of the in-house massage therapist. They offer a great range of sports treatments and beauty therapies too, so why not treat yourself to a little 'me-time'?

The Casale is incredibly popular with our guests as it's a nice mix of a traditional chalet with a small bar area, this creates a nice buzz around the chalet at après-ski when the bar is open and the drinks are flowing.

The Casale has been lovingly converted from an old barn. Many of the original beams have been kept which gives a wonderful warm feel to the place. The large dining room is equally charming with its long tables for chalet-style meals and more wooden rafters adding to the warming feel.

The bedrooms are a good size with plenty of light and space to make you feel right at home. They all have an ensuite with a shower, wc and a small selection of complimentary toiletries in case you forget your own. This really is an ideal choice for couples or groups of friends looking for a home-from-home place to stay.

Chalet Hotel Edelweiss is a small, chalet-style gem of a hotel on the outskirts of Sauze d'Oulx. Its location could not be better for keen skiers and snowboarders as the Jouvenceaux Sportinia lift is just 50m away so that you can ski or board to it straight from the boot room! And for those that are comfortable on red runs, it's possible to ski back to the hotel.

There's a lovely, typically Italian laid-back atmosphere thanks to the intimate bar and snug lounge with its open fire. And being on the outskirts of Sauze means that the views across the valley are spectacular, particularly from the large sun terrace.

Sauze's legendary nightlife is about 1km up the hill and ski buses run every 30 minutes or so from a stop a couple of minutes' walk away. There's also a hotel shuttle bus that we run regularly to the resort centre between 5 pm & 10 pm every day. Alternatively, the small village of Jouvenceaux has a couple of restaurants and bars that are only a few minutes away.

To help you relax at the end of the day, there's a small wellness area with a hot tub, sauna and small treatment room offering sports and relaxing massages. The Edelweiss really does tick all of the boxes for a great little ski hotel. We'll see you there soon!

The Dolomites Inn is in a spectacular position in the huge 1220km Dolomites ski area. It lies in the popular Val di Fassa in peaceful and sunny Penia di Canazei, just 1km from neighbouring Alba and 3km from lively Canazei centre.

Relaxing is made easy for you thanks to the small wellness area. Ease ski legs in the hot tub or sauna, or work off some of the delicious food and wine in the hotel’s squash courts – not something you see every day.

The Alba-Col Dei Rossi gondola is just down the road and whisks you straight into the renowned 40km Sella Ronda circuit – an intermediate skier or boarders dream! The free local ski bus stops outside the hotel regularly to save you the 5-10 minute walk.
